Every year 19th of November is marked around the world by many men, women and organisations as International Men’s Day. The main aim of the day is to highlight and raise awareness for serious issues regarding men’s well-being including but not limited to, high suicide rates, mental health issues, male cancers, abuse and homelessness.
If you would like to join in the awareness campaigns, not just for the day but throughout the year, you can do so through many routes. You can start by looking up what events are happening around you in your city and at university. These are easily found through the respective websites or social media pages. Events can range from more fun initiatives such as Movember Fundraising efforts to more detailed Conferences on specific topics, so pick ones that will engage you the most. A good place to get started is UK Events
If none of these take your fancy then you can even create an event and get others to get involved! There are plenty of ideas for what you can do available here : Things To Do
