Here’s a recipe I use to cook a meal for 5 people in my house – a simple pasta bake which can be changed to suit all your housemates!

It’s always a good idea to have a meal together every now and then, as not only is it fun to all cook a recipe together, but it’s much cheaper!

Here’s what you’ll need for the pasta bake recipe:

  • Pasta (it’s cheaper to buy this in bulk & share between housemates)
  • Pasta bake sauce (Aldi sell this for 55p)
  • Cheese
  • Breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Any form of vegetables (peppers, mushrooms work well)
  • Any form of meat (tuna, chicken etc)
  • Pasta bake tray (we got ours from T K Maxx in Liverpool for £5)

Now it’s time to get your bake on! See the below table on how to make the pasta bake:

Why not try this recipe with garlic bread? Or try out with different flavour sauces? If you’re feeling extra fancy, why not stick a side salad with it?

If you have any leftover, this recipe is fine to refrigerate and reheat the next day, depending on what meat you use. Just pop the leftovers into a tub and keep in the fridge overnight, and you have a cheap lunch for the next day! So why not get your house/flatmates involved and cook it with them?
